TEX is trading at $61.32, sitting at 88% of its 52-week high of $69.51 after a 27.1% gain over the past year. Its more recent returns show a 90-day increase of 2.9% and a 30-day rise of 0.7%, indicating a slower pace of appreciation as it neared prior highs. Given this trajectory, Qraft AI's methodology, which incorporates traditional factors like value and momentum, likely identified a plateau or diminishing upside as the stock approached its peak, potentially reducing its attractiveness based on those metrics. Simultaneously, the system’s proprietary alternative-data overlays, a core component of QRFT's AI tilt, could have detected shifts in underlying sentiment or market conditions specific to TEX, indicating a reduced fit for the portfolio. Consequently, the fund’s weekly rebalancing mechanism allowed for the complete removal of TEX on June 2nd, aligning the portfolio with the AI’s updated assessment that the stock no longer met its combined criteria at this price level.
