About BUZZ

BUZZ is the odd one out among the funds this site tracks. It is not actively managed by an AI in the way AIEQ or the Qraft funds are. Instead, BUZZ passively tracks the BUZZ NextGen AI US Sentiment Leaders Index, an algorithmic index whose constituents are selected by natural-language processing of social-media posts, online articles, and message-board discussions.

The fund holds roughly 75 large- and mid-cap US names. The selection rule is straightforward: the index identifies stocks attracting the most positive sentiment in online conversations over a measurement window, and the ETF holds them. That is a fundamentally different signal from the fundamentals-and-news models used by EquBot, Qraft, Pictet, and WisdomTree.

We include BUZZ in this site's coverage because its sentiment-driven selection process is algorithmic and meets our "no human portfolio manager" criterion. It is the closest US ETF to a "retail crowd" signal: when meme-stock cycles drive sentiment higher, BUZZ tends to pick up the move; when sentiment cools, the index rotates names out. The changes view surfaces those rotations.

How BUZZ selects stocks

The BUZZ index, constructed by Buzz Holdings ULC, runs NLP over social-media posts, news, blog comments, and message-board discussions to compute a positive-sentiment score for each candidate company. The top names by score enter the index, weighted by a blend of sentiment intensity and market capitalisation. Reconstitution is monthly, so the portfolio shifts more slowly than daily- or weekly-rebalanced active AI funds.
